Summer is a great time to get experimental with your nails. If you are lucky enough to be jetting off this summer then what better time to get a little adventurous with your nail designs and try something new. In this post we have rounded up six top trends to try this summer. Whether it’s bright colours, graphic prints or pretty tie dyes you are hankering to try we have a whole range of designs to get you inspired!
If you have been scrolling through Instagram recently then it’s likely you may have come across the rainbow nail trend. To get involved simply choose five candy coloured shades and apply one to each nail, replicate on both hands. Beauty salon @simplybeauty_bridgend have used our brand new Gelover shade First Crush in this design. Other soak off gels from our Gelover range that would work perfectly for this trend are Mellow Out, Misty Morning, Show Off, Skinny Dip, Sitting Duck, Just Peachy and Candy Floss to name just a few!
Coloured French Tips
French tips are having a comeback and nail techs are getting more experimental then every before with the trend. Take inspiration from nail tech @polishperfect1 who has used our Gelover shade Sitting Duck in this design. If you are looking for the perfect tool to create those crisp lines then try our Amy G Fine Detailer Brush which allows you to work with precision due to the fineness of the brush hair.
Tie Dye Nails
Heading off to a festival this summer? The tie dye trend could be just what you’ve been looking for to makeover your nails with. If you aren’t quite convinced by a full coverage look then pay homage to the trend by trying a tie dye tip. The Gelover colours Sitting Duck, Candy Floss, Bitter Sweet, First Crush and It’s Mint To Be were used to create this design. Head over to our Instagram page to see our tutorial video of how to create tie dye nails.
Check mate. Checkerboard designs are having a moment this summer. Take inspiration from nail tech @nailsbyemmaorr who has paired this checkerboard print with a range of bright colours to give the look a summery feel. The Amy G Creative Nail Art Gels in White and Black were used to create this design.
Polka Dot Nails
Polka dots aren’t just popular in fashion this summer and if you aren’t quite ready to commit to wearing head to toe polka dots then wearing them on your nails is a perfect way to trial the trend. Nail tech @nailanarchy_ has used our Gelover gel in shade Bittersweet to create this design.
Cow Print Nails
Last but not least… if you are bored of wearing leopard, zebra or tiger print on your nails then why don’t you give cow print a try. This monochrome animal inspired print is really having a moment on nails. Nail tech @get_nailed321 created this design using our Gelover gel in shade Candy Floss.
