Q&A: Polish Perfect By Vanessa
Back in June 2019 we invited our super talented Brand Ambassador nail tech Vanessa aka Polish Perfect to take over our Instagram to answer some of your questions, you can fine this in our highlights on our Instagram page @edgenails. During her one hour takeover she created two inspiring nail art tutorials as well as answered all of your questions. Following the success of her Instagram Live takeover we have asked her some follow up questions to enable you to get to know Vanessa better:
1) What is currently your favourite nail art technique?
My absolute favourite go to nail art technique would be coloured ombré. Especially this time of year using neon colours.
2) How did you get started as a nail tech?
I just finished school and I wasn’t sure what career path I was going down so I decided to apply for a nail course as I was always so interested in the beauty industry. I absolutely loved it and I soon realised that it was definitely the career path for me. I then renovated a room off the side of my house and took a big step and set up my own business which is now called “Polish Perfect by Vanessa”. I have been in the nail industry for 3 years and I have absolutely loved every minute of it. I haven’t looked back since.
3) Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years time I would love to become a nail educator as I’m currently doing my HND in hair and beauty management to hopefully become a part time nail tutor in the local college along with running my salon.
4) Who do you admire in the industry?
I’ve always loved Amy G's nails ever since I started my Instagram page I’ve just been obsessed with her work. Shes so talented! She’s definitely been my nail idol from the very beginning.
5) What are your go to Edge Nails products?
My go to Edge Nails products would always be the tips, nail glue and of course the high shine top coat I could literally not do a set of nails without these products. They are by far the best in the business.
