Nail Salon

For some salons the months of October and November can be quieter ones, with the busy Christmas period looming you may feel that your appointment schedule is quieter then you would like. If this is the case use the spare time that you have to help boost the marketing activities for your salon to help drive new business. Below are some tips and tricks to help you market your salon effectively this autumn.

Add value to your client’s appointment: While it’s tempting to offer your treatments at a discounted rate for a limited time to help boost appointments it can offer a great short term fix however will reduce probability and can result in devaluing your services. Instead try offering your clients added value to their appointments whether this be a complimentary express manicure for all clients who have a pedicure or if you have a loyalty scheme in place offer bonus loyalty points per treatment for a limited period.

Give your salon an autumnal makeover: Ensure that your retail products are reflective of the new season and give your nail colour display a revamp by bringing the autumnal shades to the forefront.

Invest time into your social media marketing: During these quieter months it is a great opportunity to invest extra time into helping promote your salon via your social media platforms. Get creative and run a ‘salon selfie’ competition or similar to help boost your followers and gain exposure with both existing and potential new clients.

Host an event: If you don’t already host local events as part of your marketing strategy then now may be the perfect time to start. Open your salon doors on your quietest night of the week and consider offering selected treatments or product promotions to your guests. Ultimately this will aim to boost retail revenue, improve client loyalty and hopefully win new clients.
